Art and Inspiration
The story of Future Generations can be told in many ways. This part of our website is dedicated to: artwork, audio, video, and photography.
- Our live webcam shares a glimpse of why we located our international headquarters in rural West Virginia.
- Listen to the stories of children from around the world through our three-minute audio series, Voices of Future Generations.
- See our online gallery for photographs taken by Future Generations staff, graduate students, and friends around the world. There you will also find selected works by the following artists:

As you move through the slideshow, take time also to listen to the voices of the world's children.
Robert Rauschenberg, Tibet
This limited edition print and poster by Robert Rauschenberg has a complex and rich history. This was a direct result of Rauschenberg's unique 1985 globe-girdling tour, the celebrated Rauschenberg Overseas Cultural Interchange, which ultimately took the artist to eleven countries plus Tibet, a kaleidoscopic creative journey through diverse images and materials that continues to resonate today, in Rauschenberg's own art as well as our appreciation of it.
Rauschenberg combined on-artist shows with an ongoing quest for visual material in all the countries he visited in 1985, but no region impressed him as much as Tibet, this high, remote land, utterly unlike any other corner of the globe.
The sale of this poster and print exclusively supports Future Generations' sustainable development and conservation programs in Tibet. Please contact Future Generations about purchasing these.
