40th Anniversary of Man and Biosphere Program held in Lhasa, Tibet

On September 8, 2011 Future Generations China joined more than 100 of China's conservation officials and scholars in Lhasa, Tibet for the 40th Anniversary of the Man and the Biosphere program and the 13th Conference for China's Biosphere Reserves Network (CBRN).

Chinese and International Conservation Leaders Gather for the China Forum for Nature

Chinese Youth Promote Regional Solutions for Climate Change

In July 2010, more than 5,000 youth from 80 universities across China set out on the Green Long March, across 8 routes, to promote regional solutions for climate change. In addition to raising awareness, 55 student teams are implementing Green Seed Award projects to identify and expand successful practices.

8 Chinese youth dedicated to promoting community change represented Future Generations China at the Youth in Development Forum in Bulgaria in a global dialogue on the United Nations Millennium Development goals. Students formed mixed international teams to devise community capacity development projects to address global issues. This pamphlet highlights one page fact sheets on each student with their millennium goals, community commitments, and short bio.

Chinese Youth Join Global Dialogue on Millennium Development Goals

In June 2011, a team of eight Chinese youth represented Future Generations China at the Youth in Development Forum in Sofia, Bulgaria. Chinese youth dialogued with other youth delegations (ages 18-26) from Bulgaria, Latvia, Spain, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam on solutions for reaching the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
