Nepal Recovery Project:

Future Generations brings decades of experience in Nepal. Also, we have an extensive network of community-based partners trained to facilitate others in community building.  These trained people happen to be in some of the worst hit regions.  An immediate task of course is safety.  Then, as steps are taken, new challenges will emerge to build life out of the rubble. Please contribute now.

Give the gift of education: The Master's Degree Student Scholarship Fund: As our students learn, so do their communities. Graduate education is grounded in the home communities of our students. Your scholarship will provide an opportunity for global learning that leads to local solutions.

Protect the Tibetan Plateau: Future Generations has helped to protect 40 percent of the land area of Tibet, China through a community-based approach to nature conservation. Local people gain the skills to be conservation stewards, to improve health in the home, and to access new opportunities.

Achieve Gandhi's Dream in northeast India: Future Generations provides empowerment-based training in how to achieve self-help. Help us transform 10 villages into regional training centers and examples of good local governance.

Build Afghanistan's Capacity for Peace: Support the training of community action groups to find creative solutions to local priorities. Empowerment-based training sustains solutions in local governance, women's literacy, and maternal and child health.

Promote positive social change in Haiti: Empowered youth in Cite Soleil (near Port-au-Prince) unite daily to transform their livelihoods and improve their communities. Gifts support civic education for community action, documentation of community successes, and leadership skills.

Support Health and Veteran Initiatives in West Virginia: To improve health behaviors, Future Generations Rural America trains local leaders as Community Health Workers (CHWs). In another project, a veteran friendly community initiative supports homeless veterans and veterans who are at risk of becoming homeless.
