Rhododendron Meadows

Rhododendron MeadowsAt about 4,200 meters and near the tree line in part of far eastern Tibet, the terrain may be composed of meadows with scattered mats of rhododendrons, including this purple-flowered R. nivale. Domestic herds that graze here leave the poisonous rhododendrons untouched.
