Novitiates with solar panels

Solar power, now in its infancy here, will play an important part in the future of Tibet as much of the region features sunny winters and considerable sun even during the summer monsoons. Today solar panels are already installed in many locations including outside yak-haired tents in the highlands, and the sight of solar cookers heating water in tea kettles is increasing.
