Po Tsangpo in Winter

Po Tsangpo in WinterThe clear blue water of the Po Tsangpo, at 3,300 meters in southeastern Tibet, indicates that there is little erosion in this watershed during the winter.  Several rivers rise in the high country of the Tibetan Uplift, and the quality of the water that drains into adjoining parts of Asia may affect millions of people.
