Sea of Forests
Forests between about 1,960 and 2,300 meters in the Po Tsangpo Valley in southeastern Tibet, at the lower edge of the warm-temperate zone. Broad-leafed trees, including rhododendrons, oaks, maples, magnolias, and laurels characterize the wet parts of this zone, while the pine tree indicates a shift to drier conditions as one moves north from the Himalayas.
