"Living on Earth" Features the Green Long March

Public Radio International's #1 syndicated environmental radio show, Living on Earth, featured an episode on the Green Long March the week of November 17th.

The Green Long March  began in 2007 with leadership from Future Generations China and Beijing Forestry University. Today, with 5,000 students from 50 Chinese Universities, it is known as China's largest youth movement for the environment.

In 2009, the March covered seven routes and involved educational campaigns that promoted creative energy solutions in homes, schools, and businesses across China.  The Green Seed awards supported outstanding community projects developed by youth. In addition, students came together for a national forum in Beijing to present 50 case studies of energy successess that were documented during the March.
