Master's Degree Student, Stanley Nderitu, wins Davis Peace Prize

In 2007, Kuresoi was the site of major post-electoral violence in Kenya.  As we look towards national elections in 2013, a new institution is springing up on the landscape, one determined to beat the violence by building peace. 

New Challenge Grant Announced

Future Generations is pleased to announce a new 500,000 challenge grant from Kathryn W. Davis. Donations made to Future Generations global programs will be matched from April 1st, 2012- December 31, 2012. Make a donation to a project listed here and see your contribution doubled.

Fire Destroys Haiti Communitere Workshop: Support our Partners in Rebuilding Back Better

On May 3rd, a massive fire destroyed the Haiti Communitere workshop, a Future Generations Haiti partner formerly known as Grassroots United. The community used this space to come together and learn different skills, share ideas, and study sustainability. Now, the community and Haiti Communitere are working to expand on their successes to build back better than before.
