Practice
Future Generations works in partnership with communities, organizations and governments in applying and adapting the SEED-SCALE process of community change. Future Generations formally works in four countries--Afghanistan, China, India and Peru, but staff also provide training and consultation to community, government and organizational partners worldwide. In the 1990's, Future Generations initiated large nature preserves that integrate conservation with community development in Tibet, China and Arunachal Pradesh, India. Later, field programs began in Peru, Afghanistan and the state of Uttaranchal in India. Although these communities vary in many ways, they all adapt and practice a systematic process of community change and provide lessons for communities worldwide. Many of these communities also serve as the teaching sites or "field campuses" for Future Generations Master's Degree Program. A great deal of information on how Future Generations works in each country can by found by clicking on this link: <Country Programs> |
