Meet the Dean

Future Generations is honored to welcome Dr. Pierre-Marie Metangmo as the Academic Dean of the Graduate School. He has over 20 years of international public health and management experience and leadership. Originally from Cameroon, West Africa, Dr. Metangmo has lived for the past ten years in the United States and worked as Plan International’s Senior Child Survival and Health Programs Specialist. In this capacity, he has monitored and supervised health program implementation and worked with communities in more than a dozen countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. 

As Dean, Pierre-Marie will guide the development of practical instructional programs and curricula, create training programs that meet the needs of multiple communities, oversee student Practica, and teach and mentor students. Drawing from decades of experience in fostering community empowerment in underserved communities worldwide, Pierre-Marie will support Master’s Degree students as the seek to lead participatory development initiatives in their own communities.

In addition to his extensive field-based community experience, Dr. Metangmo has a M.D. from the Medical School of the Catholic University of Lille, France, an MBA from the Institute of Business and Administration of the University of Lille II, France and a Master’s of Public Health from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
