Global Registry of Community-based Programs

Over 70 organizations participated in Future Generations first survey to compile a global registry of community-based projects. The purpose of this survey was to:

profile community-based projects,

identify the common elements of community-based work, and

help organizations share their experiences with others.

How to Participate in this long-term effort

Compiling a worldwide registry of community-based work is a long-term effort: there are thousands of projects, many with no presence on the Internet. Our aim is to continue adding community-based projects to this global registry.

How Organizations Can Help

We invite community-based projects to participate by:

1. Download the <Brief Registry Form> for the Global Registry of Community-Based Work, enter your response to each question, save as a new file, and send an e-mail with the answered file attached to <registry@future.org>.

2. Print the Brief Registry Form from the above link, and return it with your answers via FAX +1 304 358 3008 or mail to Future Generations at HC 73 Box 100, Franklin, WV 26807, USA

How Individuals Can Help

We invite individuals from different countries, regions, and development sectors to help by:

1. Posting an announcement about this global registry to your listservs. You may download the announcement in Word format directly from our website by clicking here: <registryannounce>

2. Volunteering to be a Local Registry Coordinator to identify community-based projects in your country, region, or development sector. If you are interested, please email <registry@future.org>
